On the weekend, I spent a lot of the time chopping wood which we got from the local wood.Â
It cost £5.00 which was half a boot load.
After throwing a couple onto the fire, I noticed it seemed like it was taking more energy for it to take then heat up the house.

Today I swept the chimney.
It’s a crap job. My arms are covered in black and soot is all around the stove.
Last year I made a soot scatcher. It consists of a old B&D vacuum cleaner, modified so it was just a drum with a pipe and hole in the top for ‘Henry’.
